Looking for new trails to blaze?
We are planning a trail ride at Lake Wales Ridge, Walk-in-the-Water
Loop Trail. This will be our first time riding in this park; I have
heard quite a bit about this cool trail and can’t wait to check it out!
Please let me know if you are interested in joining us for this
exploration on horse back. September 29, is the date we have
picked for this adventure.
Two groups will be riding the trails, like we usually do in the
fall/winter months. Barbeque lunch will be provided!
Another cool program going on at Orchid Hill Stables is “lease
a lesson horse”. If you have thought that it would be fun to own
a horse and ride whenever you want this could be the program for you!
Leasing a lesson horse includes use of our tack and you can ride at
your leisure. A one month lease is just $300. You do still need to take
at least two lessons a month to keep up your training and continue to
improve your horsemanship skills.
As school has started, our lessons have slowed down and the horses
are not being ridden half as much as they were this summer. Leasing a
horse gives you the pleasure of riding more horses more often, and is a
great option for children and adults.
Not related to horses…
Once again Lawerence and I will be volunteering at the March of Dimes
annual Chefs Auction. The auction is being held Tuesday October 2.
The silent auction begins at 6 P.M., last year we had 99 baskets
donated! The baskets are filled with all different goodies. I was the
high bidder on a basket full of hair care products and a gift
certificate for a manicure at a local salon.
During the silent auction samples of food from local restaurants will
be available for sampling.
Following the silent auction will be a live auction. The live auction
will have several vacation packages, dinner packages, and Orchid Hill
Stables has donated one week of Christmas Camp!
Tickets are $45 per person, a table for 10 is $400. A table includes
a business ad in the auction program.
Four Points By Sheraton Sebring, Chateau Elan has once again donated
their banquet facility for this event. Call me for more information.
