Happy Holidays!
This truly
is my favorite time of year! It was easy to think of something to be
thankful for today… cooler weather! Finally we can enjoy horses without
the staggering heat. If you have been putting off riding because of the
summer, give me a call!
We have so
many events to attend in November that I am looking at December 1st
or 8th for our next trail ride. Please give me your feed back
on these dates. We had thought about doing a beach ride in
Palm Beach
County
in December. With fuel cost as high as it is we would have to charge
$200 instead of $150 per rider for a beach ride. I need feedback on this
too! We can always go to Lake Wales Ridge or another local park we have
not yet explored.
The Arts
and Crafts Festival is this Saturday, November 10! Please come and visit
us on Children’s Street, we will be near the library. If you can
volunteer at our booth by passing out brochures, assisting with our
raffle, or pampering Ziggy during pony rides, let me know! Also
available at the Festival: Orchid Hill Stables Tee-Shirts! I have shirts
in sizes 6/8, 10/12, small adult, medium adult, and large adult. The
quantity of these shirts is very limited so please call me if you want
me to hold a shirt for you. You can pick up the shirt at your next
lesson or at the Art Fair. Cost: $16.00
November 17
11 A.M.-3
P.M. we will be at the
Spring
Lake
Community Barbecue. Visit us at this event and assist with passing out
information or pony rides. While this is a smaller display than our Art
Fair booth any and all help is appreciated.
Orlando
Arabian Horse Club Fun Show, Clarcona Horseman’s Park October 27 and 28,
2007. Tarryn Paterson and Mr. Kool won the 17 and under showmanship
class, Katie Weekley and
Rio
won the walk/trot Arabian Western Pleasure class, and Amanda Jernigan
and Buddy won the Walk/Trot Adult Western Pleasure class. We took home
so many ribbons and had a fabulous time! Missy held her own in Adult
showmanship and won the class on Saturday and came in second on Sunday!
Next Spring we will attend more shows, let me know if you are hoping to
be in a horse show someday!

Thanksgiving Camp 2007
Our
unique day camp program offers children ages 6-16 the opportunity to
learn about horse health, nutrition, conformation, breeds, English and
western riding; information that would take months of riding lessons.
Games on horseback are the kids’ favorite at our camps!
Thanksgiving Camp: Wednesday, November 21, Friday November 23, and
Saturday November 24

A.M.-3:30 P.M.
Special pricing for Thanksgiving $75
per day for everyone!
Cost includes lunch, snacks, drinks, and
all riding equipment.
