Orchid Hill Stables has so many fun things to offer this month!

No School February 14 & 15! Camp is $75 per day for OHS students. If you are not yet an OHS student you may still attend camp for $85 per day. Camp is for beginner to advanced riders! Advanced riders will be working on skills to prepare them for the show ring. New campers will learn basic horsemanship skills both in the saddle and on the ground.

HORSE SHOW! February 16 there will be a fun show at the Agricultural Center Riding Arena. Located at George BLVD; south on US 27 in Sebring. Katie will be showing Rio in Walk/Jog Western and Samantha will be showing Rio in Walk/Trot/Canter English and Western. Claire will be showing Buddy in Walk/Trot English and Western. Tarryn will be showing Buddy in Walk/Jog/Lope Western and Ziggy in Walk/Trot English. Rachel will be showing Pete in Walk/Trot/Canter English and Western, and Teja will be showing Pete in Walk/Trot English and Western. Jak will be showing Mr. Kool in Walk/Trot English. Come support our students and cheer them on at this Fun Show!

CAMPING! We had so much fun at our January trail ride/camping trip! Have you ever seen the stars so bright that you could not stop counting them!? The camping was incredible and beautiful, and then there was riding too! The ride on Saturday could not have been more comfortable, perfect cool weather, sun shining; the kind of day that makes us proud to say “we live in Florida!” Sunday the morning was a little drizzly, but by the time we had finished our camp fire breakfast the sky was clear and our riding began. Next Camping and Trail Ride adventure is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday February 23 and 24. Please call for details! 655-1582

MORE SHOWS! Saturday March 8 there will be an Arabian Community Horse Show at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center. This show will be followed by an open show (for all breeds of horses) on Sunday March 9. This show is the next step up from riding at the Orlando Arabian Horse Club’s shows. The competition should be a little tougher and the judge, Matt Murray, often judges A’ rated Arabian shows. In fact, he was the judge for the Arabian Spring Show we attended in Gainesville last year.
