Horsemanship Day Camps run over all school breaks & can be set up for kids visiting from other cities too!

Our unique day camp program offers children ages 6-16 the opportunity to learn about horse health, nutrition, conformation, breeds, English and western riding; information that would take months of riding lessons. Games on horseback are the kids’ favorite at our camps!

If you know a young boy or girl interested in horses we can teach them all that is involved with owning, caring, and riding an equine.

We also play fun water balloon games, and other outdoor sports; so put on your sunscreen, bring a change of clothes and join the fun!

Camp starts at 8:30 A.M. and ends at 3:30 P.M. Special arrangements can be made for early drop off or late pick up.

Lunch, snacks, Gatorade, and water provided. Riding gear and safety equipment provided. Please wear plenty of sunscreen, and closed toe shoes.

Expect to be in the saddle for 3-4 hours per day; long pants are recommended for all horseback riders.

We will be teaching about horse care, safety around equines, basic to advanced horsemanship, as well as playing games on horseback!

Camp is tailored to kids ages 6-16, you may inquire about activities for children younger or older than this age category.

Camp discounts are offered to students of Orchid Hill Stables. It is easy to become a student, just fill out the student registration form, release of liability form, (enclose $25 for processing of these forms), and sign up for 4 private riding lessons. These riding lessons may be taken any time, even after summer camp.

If you do not plan on becoming a student at OHS, camp fee is $90 per day. Families with multiple children may inquire about non-student family discounts.
